   HHHHHHIIIIIII!!!!!

How are ya'll doing!?!?!?

I haven't seen either of you here in a while, well a few days anyway.
How's it all going?
Would love some updates!
My memory is shot! :dizzy:

From what I can tell, it seems you're both doing well.
I certainly hope so!
Don't stay gone so long...ya'll (so Texas) were the first couple of people here that helped me out with the methadone thing when I first came here. Didn't work out for me, but I sure needed all your help and advice!

Have a great day!
Shay

Hello Shay,

I am still here.
I am down to 10 MG's total of Methadone. The first week and 1/2 were about the worst. I still seem to get nausiated in the morning and after-noon. I get the fidgets and the shakes, but I have some meds that help that stuff that are not addicting. I seem to have a thing for sugary foods right now and that is so not like me. I am really trying not to indulge to much as I have a huge wedding to go to in July and I have already bought my dress!! Hehehehehe!!!
Right now I am out of town with my Mom on the Eastern side of the Sierra's at a lodge. We have been a few days and are leaving today. It was a great time to relax and hang out. We had a successfull fishing day and took lots of photographs.
If I had to take the Methadone at some other time in my life I would do it again. I thought that while detoxing I would be in the house for three weeks doing nothing but throwing up and having diareaha. That was not the case. I guess it could have been if I had been on it longer or had been taking a larger dose.
How are you doing? My memory is fuzzy to. Are you taking something different for pain and how is it helping you? If you don't mind me asking how did you get the injuries that you have and what are they? If you don't feel like responding to that question it will not offend me one bit!!
I hope to hear from you again soon...
Sending a cyber hug your way.
Chrissy

Hi Chrissy!

Sounds like you're doing really well...I'm so glad! How fun to go fishing! I love to fish! I took my 6 yr old son on mother's day fishing and we had a blast! It was his first time and he caught 10 fish the first day! I couldn't believe it! He was a natural!...with his spiderman fishpole! Just a small lake and we threw them back...

To answer your questions:
I was taking 10mg hydro for the last year and a half and was switching to methadone and was really scared cuz I have a friend who is a mess who has been on it for about 7 years. Anyway, stayed on it for 11 days, hated it, and went back to the hydro.... So that's where I'm at now....but....I think I have a plan in place now...gonna post about it so be looking there and you'll get the whole scoop.

About my injuries:
I was run over by a car in Nov '05.....literally run OVER. Broke my leg at the knee (tibia plateau) had 3 surgeries, broke ankle, pelvis, and chipped L-5 vertebrae (lower back)....the car ran right into me at the knee, knocked me down, ran over my pelvis (came very close to internal organs), stopped, and backed in reverse back over me and left....and yes I knew the person (that's always the next question)(HaHa!) :)
Law suit pending, criminal suit pending, blah, blah, blah.....
BUT.......
cannot blame addiction to the hydro on that....
Yes I have pain, and yes I need relief to do anything.....(knee fractures are one of the hardest things to mend and rarely do you not have pain because they are in a joint and support your entire body)
But I was an addict prior to any of this, so can't blame the chronic pain for that!
So I'm here fighting to stay above water like everyone else I guess.
So that's it in a nutshell! There's of course way more to it, but that's the essence of it all!

I'm glad you're doing well and out there tackling the world!

Wow!

Shay it sounds like it has been a rough road. I was hit by a car one time about 8-9 years ago and broke my pelvis in 5 places. I don't really remember the pain stuff except the beging I was in the ICU and Care Flighted about 30 miles away because they thought that I had a fracture in my skull. I was in the middle of practicing my addiction to Methamphetamines so I don't really remember anything except that I was in a assisted living place for about a month. My boyfriend at the time would come ther there and we would use outside the facility. That is how sick I was!!!
It sounds like you are very happy and doing well. I know all this stuff is hard, but if we can managed to smile and laugh it makes it that much easier.
Oh, the spiderman fishing pole sounds sooo cute!!!
Chrissy
