I had this procedure done a week past Tuesday - my surgeon(one of the best in Scotland) recommended this because the recovery time was much shorter(supposedly).
Immediately after the Op everything was fine and I felt great but since then thing shave not gone so well. I felt very sore and 'raw' inside and had numbness in my buttocks and legs. I spoke to my surgeon who examined me and said that everything was fine - I was just taking longer to recover than normal. This soreness is now improving but now on a BM I am passing what seems to be rather a lot of Dark red blood - this has only happened for the 1 day - is this normal?
Any help would be appreciated.

having had hemorrhoid surgery, the stapled method has complications mostly
infections and the stapes are always there ,i am not a fan of this procedure
and the cutting method with the knife by a skilled colorectal surgen is the
best way to remove it.there are many on this board who had that done and recovered well form it.i am one who has and it is a painfull recovery but once you heal you be okay,i have other conditions that aggravate my rectum
so i have to deal with it daily.i have known four people who done the stapled
method and one is fine and three went under the knife and are fine now.
passing blood and pain is normal at the begining but if it contiues daily for a
period of time go see your doctor right away.

hope you a speedy recovery
