Thanks Sid
Just got home a couple of hours ago from two days of pre-surgical evaluation and testing. Of course the first place I go at home is the computer :)
I have three days of everything and everywhere to catch up on.
Doing okay here.
Hope everyone else is doing okay!!

I will officially have "holes in my head" on June 18th. The surgical team has practiced the procedure a couple of times..."practiced"...
I have been put through the proverbial mill over the last three weeks. The only thing I have left to do is neuro-psych testing next week. Being off my Parkinson's meds for two hours and then having to go through testing that way is NOT a pretty picture or feeling. I have given away about a quart of blood  Many of you can appreciate this...I have over a dozen long straight scares on my right forearm, and a few on my left forearm...I have been asked twice where they came from...ugh!...my son's aggressive cat.
As odd as it sounds this has all been a good distraction for me.
While I finally found the endpoint in the lymphoma journey...don't have it.
I am now on a journey to find out why the radiologist put the following in the results of my chest xray..."upper left lobe...looks like emphasema." While I have never smoked a day in my life, I have been the recipient of tons of passive smoke...father smoked cigars, worked for a father and two sons who smoked cigs and cigars, husband smoked, son smokes, etc. So, I will have an CT of my chest next week. If it is not clear, it may kick me out of the trail. At that point it will be back to Baltimore to begin work up for Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)
I have been reading/lurking the last couple of weeks. You all are doing your usual superb job of keeping everyone going and seeking anyone out how does show up timely enough. I barely have time to keep my CERE-120 diary, but I do check in once or twice a day, unless I am in Philadelphia.
You are all  as always,
Carolyn

HI Carolyn....
Well I'm not sure what I should say..... I just hope for the best for you.... Take one day at a time I guess.
As far as the Emphysema.....If you really do have it, and have never smoked....There is a gene that some people have that causes it. You might want to check it out.
Hugs,
Sid

Well, I am out of the trail.
Neither of my daughter's can be there while I have two holes drilled into my head and have my brain poked into 32 times.
Per the surgical coordinator: "No patient can be discharged from the hospital without an adult to assist/supervise their safe transportation."
Such is my life. Always alone! No matter what!
Explaining the why of the absense of my daughter's isn't important.
I am going to go get into my hole now and stay there the rest of the day...under the covers in my bed!!
