View Full Version : Difference between Amino Acids and Steroids?

Well, Im sure alot of people will laugh as soon as they saw the topic name. But Im not educated in this field; I mean...both are anabolic usages..right? (meaning, they build your body). While some amino acids release growth hormones...steroids are prohormone, isn't that the same thing? Or is like..injections/authentic hgh used? I don't know the difference @_@..all I know is, Im told that Amino Acids..when taking in proper dosages, are way safer than steroids and I never understood 100% why.

BTW: Does anyone know any exercises that work on abs besides crunches?

Steroids and amino acids are totally different animals. Amino acids are nutrients. They are what make up proteins and you cannot live without them (and they are legal!). Steriods are considered a drug and have a direct, usually strong effect on hormones. There really is no choice on one of the other for muscle growth. You must have amino acids, but you can choose to go chemical or not.
