View Full Version : Am I just tired?

I started this week by having to get up at 6:30am (which is a hour earlier than normal) for a dentist appointment. I felt fine on Tuesday, but by Wednesday morning I felt exhausted when I woke up, I didn't sleep well the night before. So that’s normal... however during the course of the morning I had a few "spells" where I felt extremely exhausted like I could just close my eyes and pass right out (not faint). During these spells my eyes felt heavy, and I felt a somewhat slight pressure on the upper part of the back of my head. I have had this pressure come and go in the past, it's not painful, hardly noticeable, and it may have something to do with allergies. I do have a pretty bad time with seasonal allergies, and I do notice some pollen on things outside right now. Anyway so I went to bed an hour and a half earlier and today I feel a little better but I still had problems sleeping and I am still quite tired today, and the "spells" have been much milder.

Here’s the thing though, I feel lots better as the day goes on and by time am ready for bed, and I feel great and not tired at all. Throughout the day it gradually gets better and I feel less tired. I don't ever feel sick, just really tired, and sometimes a little weak during the "spells". I do notice I am yawning a LOT, which is not normal for me, also usually I am not tired, and I am quite active. I am suffering mildly from depression, and I don't take anything for since it comes and goes.

So do I just need some rest? or is there something more I should be concerned with?

Look at the sleep hygiene post it may help you.

Your problems seems a bit sudden to be a permanent sleep disorder, but you may have trigger one that was mild into a more severe state.

You may have something disturbing your sleep allergies are a biggie and thus making you tired now because your breathing is restricted. We are supposed to have 6-8 hours of sleep a night as adults.. if you are not getting that you should try too.

Sincerely,
MG
