I have been in pain for 6 months now, I am 37 years old and I have three children, I feel extream guilt, because most of the time I cannot care for them properly, or I need to leave the room they are in in hopes of feeling some relief, I have been to every doctor, a homeopath, and a neuologist. everyone except the homeopath has been brushing me off, I went to the emergency room because I had so much pain, dizzyness, vertigo, and numbness in my left arm and leg, I could not walk, I needed a bedpan to pee because the dizzyness was so bad, and the doc sent me home anyway she said, that I coulndn't get dizzy from turning my head, she never even waited for me to even finish my story about months of headaches, I am currently waiting for an MRI from the nurologist, (I am in Canada) so this takes many months, it has been 2 months so far and I don't even have a hint of a date for one. Sorry to doddle on, I have taken every headache trigger out of my diet, I am currently taking tylenol 4 for the pain, becuase everything else seems to have caffine in it. they do nothing for the pain, so I use a cream called Dermamed, It sooths the forhead and neck, my husband complains because he says it burns his hands when he rubs it on me, I told him that the burning is what helps distract me from the pain inside my head I am so frustrated, because I cannot describe what I have, When I come back from the doctor I wonder if I even have pain or if I am just crazy. The pain is sometimes across the front of my headmostly above my right eye and behind like a thumb pushing my eyeball from inside out., but mostly it runs across the back of my skull from ear to ear. This is were the pain is most intence my eyes burn a lot and I am emotional , I have had double vision 2 times, for the most part the pain lessons and worsens, but it is always here, I found this message board and read most of your stories and I have found comfort to see that I am not the only one out there, I have made this post to help me get through this, please any help will be apriciated.

It sounds like tension headaches. I have them everyday they are mostly chronic for me. They are felt as pressure or a tight band across my head as well as dizziness, vertigo and pressure behind my eyes. Look for my post on this board called chronic tension headaches By boxerlover227 if this link doesn't work for you. I hope you feel better I know how difficult it can be suffering like this and trying to care for your child. I am in the same situation.:dizzy:

Try taking 2 Advil and 2 Percogesic at the same time.... quite a potent and useful combo for tension headache, no caffeine, and not habit forming.

Seeing a physical therapist can be a big help, also.
