Hi, I've been getting migraine with aura since I hit puberty. The last one I had was a year ago and this morning, I had a series of five in a row! Has anyone had multiple aura's like that? Usually, I only have one and then it passes, followed by the headache. This really upset me. Any thoughts? Thanks!

five in a row!! that's waaaayyy too much. the most i've had in a row was two i think. i did once have aura three days in a row but it was one each of the days. for me its over-exercising that causes it. what seems to work for me now is to take aspirin before any aerobic activity. don't know if its a mental thing or what.

do you know what usually triggers yours? did you do anything differently on that day?

I'm not sure what causes them, never pinpointed it. I took an iron pill the day before, so I think that triggered it. That's the only thing different that I've done recently. This time I was so alarmed after I saw the first aura, I started to make myself sick with fear. I believe that caused the subsequent auras. That's my only explanation. My Mother has them in clusters over a period of days just as you do. Also, my Grandmother had them most of her life as well. It's a darn shame that I had to inherit this!

well i inherited the headaches from my mother and grandmother as well but i'm the first to have them with aura. this type of headache has to be the worst. i personally can't get anything done for the rest of the day and most of the next whenever i get them. luckily for me i know what causes them and i've since controlled them for the most part. i've only had one in the past 10 months or so.

good luck.
