Have been on trileptal and effexor...I am BP Awakened several weeks ago in the middle of the night scratching and in the morning found that I was absolutely covered in hives or should I say welts. Saw the internist the next am and she said it was stress related etc not bites as I had thought initially although bed bugs and the thought of them was repugnant. During the hive breakout, every night when asleep, I would awaken not feeling well at all. (For about the past 5 months I have been very, very anxious due to the job.) Called my psych doc and he told me to see a dermatologist. Psych doc said he believed it could be the trileptal although I had been on it for a year plus. Dermatologist put me on doxepin. Since doxepin, I have been zombie like in the morning and sleepy all day. No more hives, off trileptal with no ill effects, yet trileptal was not the culprit. Now taking doxepin at dinner time, rather than bedtime and it is slightly better. No hives. Overall mood ranges from 3 1/2 to a 4 on a scale of 1-10. Actually my whole life has never been more than that and at times less, unfortunatley. All I think about and have for a couple of years is retirement. I am That cannot occur until I am 66 for full social security and 65 for medicare. That is 7 years more. I hate my job since a new company bought us out. I feel totally trapped. If it was not for medical insurance, I would quit and regroup for a year. I have worked for 35 years and want some life.
WHY OR WHY CAN'T WE GET MEDICAL INSURANCE? I live in Connecticut which is a horrible state when it comes to insurance.
That is it for now...sorry for rambling...any responses to anything will be appreciated. Thank you.
