Hey everyone. Does anyone know if it is possible to just get a simple bacterial infection from oral sex, rather than one of the many STDs that are discussed? Because I've been on two rounds of antibiotics and any signs of Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are gone. However, I have a little bit of pelvic discomfort and some discomfort in my penis - especially after ejaculation. The weird thing, though, is that pain killers help. I actually ended up in the emergency room one night because of testicular pain, but my blood work and urinalysis came back negative for anything. So, I've just been taking pain killers like the doctor said. But, the fact of the matter is that I am still in very, very mild discomfort. I've been reading that it could be prostatitis - periods of relief and then mild symptoms (most of which I have). In any event, I'm not looking for an internet diagnosis. I would just like to know if anyone has heard if simple bacterial infections are a possibility, and if anyone has any advice.

Man this seems like a very common problem and I wonder if the medical industry simply doesn't have the knowledge or means to test for this type of discomfort. I had the exact same thing two years ago and I seen about four different doctors and they all said tests were negative. So I just decided to live with the pain and a month later it went away.

During that time I was searching all over the internet to find a lot of males describe the exact same thing where they had this type of STD but still felt pain after the STD was supposedly gone. I wonder if it was really all in our minds or if the hospital hasn't discovered a way of finding the real problem. I am responding now since I think I "may" have caught another STD from oral but I am not sure since my testicles only feel like a minor discomfort without any symptoms of discharge or pain. I am wondering if I am just feeling anxiety since it has been a long time.

I HAVE THIS EXACT ISSUE!!!!

No surface problems. No redness. Nothing!

It still feels like a pressure in my bladder, prostate, and urethra. While on antibiotics, the pressure subsides. When off antibiotics, the pressure returns in a two week period (has happened several times now...)

There is just nothing to explain it as far as I know though I haven't been tested for gonorrhea yet. It is driving me mad. I am an "on my own" 19 year old without any money or health innsurance. I can't pay for any treatment beyond what I already have and I feel as if I've just wasted a thousand dollars already.
