My husband has a head injury from the Army 20 years ago...we get no help at all because the VA tries to fight it even though it happened on active duty on foreign ground, but that's another thread....he started this terrible headache in his temples several years ago. You can see the pulsating on the side/sides, depending if they are both hurting or ust one side, of his head. It is totally debilitating! He sits and cries with it. Once the ER shot him up with Demerol, and Morphine and he was still sitting there in pain. We have had MRIs, CT scans...nothing. He had a biopsy done where they took a piece of artery out of the side of his head to see if it was Arterial Temporal Arteritis...it wasn't.....the only thing that has helped is Predisone....but the side effects are terrible...he is swollen, can't stand....not to mention what it's doing to his organs....but it does take the pain away, but you can't live on steroids. Anyone with any thing to try would be greatly appreciated....we have been from doctor to doctor to doctor with nothing...we have tried all sorts of drugs.......I'm at my wits end.
