Would you know of where I could get at a study or report listing the decibel levels in a 1960's style mainframe computer room? This would be a room perhaps 20 feet x 40 feet with glass walls, raised hard surface floor, high speed keypunch card reader and impact printers.
This type of room is totally different from today's computer rooms where the room is accoustically treated and the equipment is much smaller & produces much less noise.
I found three sites listing the typical chart of decibel levels & for computer rooms they ranged from a low of 70 to a high of 105 - but none had details on the type or size of computer room they were measuring the decibels in.
Thanks in advance for any tips you can provide on where I might find this information.
