The Last 3 Times I Went To The Dr My Bp Was 140 Over 90. They Told Me To Watch It And I Have To Go Back Next Month. Is This Real High Or Just Borderline? I'm 42 And In Pretty Good Shape And My Bp Has Always Been 110 Over 90. I Have Been Stressed The Past Few Months Over Certain Things. Should I Be Concerned?

Over 139 is considered high. 120 to 139 is borderline high.

my BP always seems to be a bit higher at the Dr's office. I would go to Costco and purchase a blood pressure monitor... like only $40 or $50, and start taking your BP at home. Keep track of it by date and time on paper and then present the results to your DOctor. Make sure you bring in the monitor so that he can verify that it's measuring your BP correctly.

If it's still 135 to 140 at home, then you may need a mild BP medication. That's life... BP just happens.

Losing weight and staying within your BMI can help considerably. WHen I was exercising and keeping within my BMI, I was actually able to go off BP meds.

Good luck. :)
