I know this is a weight loss board, but I don't know what other board to post on. So here I go....
I'm 17 and weigh 91 lbs. (well, maybe less now because I just had my tonsils removed and can't eat) but that's the normal for me. I've never weighed over 100 lbs. But I would love to! I absolutely hate being this skinny, I would like to get to atleast 105 lbs. When I go outside, I get nervous that people think I'm anorexic or have some kinda eating disorder, or I even do drugs. And I do NOT have any eating disorders, and I've never done drugs. It may sound weird, but the comments that people make to me really hurt my feelings. Like my mom telling me that my bf might of wanted to be with other chicks because they're not skinny, and that being this skinny is unattractive. I mean common, I know that! I'm trying to gain weight! I drank shakes for a long time every night, and it didn't bring me up to even 100 lbs. So I'm wondering if there is anything you can take to actually gain weight, but is not harmful in some way.
Also, I don't eat red meat. I know that has something to do with it, but it's a family thing and I can't really leave it. Been like that my whole life.

Try increasing portion sizes with a good amount of healthy protein and carbs. Keep down the cardio too and try and do some strength training?

I was into Tae Kwon Do for awhile, and while it did make me alot stronger, I didn't gain weight from it. I am going to try to increase my food consumption, but that's alot harder than it may seem. I will try though :-) It would be better than taking medicine to do it.

I would avoid aerobic exercise (or at least cut down on it). Would you be able to lift some weights? or do pushups etc? That will tone you up.

oh, yes i can lift weights and do push ups. i really should start doing that because I'm definitely not as strong as I used to be. See now I'm so anxious to do this stuff but I have to recover from my surgery first :(

I say indulge yourself a little while you are recovering. You will put on a few pounds. I'm not saying go overboard but a few extra treats (ie icecream) wont hurt then when you are recovered you can start eating better/more and doing your strength training
