I have a question about eating eggs as part of a diet for working out (lifting/cardio). When you guys say to eat eggs, are you talking about the WHOLE egg? I love eggs, and it seems a little time consuming having to separate the whites from the yolk. Is this separation necessary or does it really even matter? -Chris

It depends on your immediate goals. If you're trying to lose fat, I'd recommend removing most of the yolks. ie, you're eating 3 eggs, remove 2 of the yolks. If you're trying to gain mass, eat all the yolks.

FYI, I'm assuming your not following a keto diet. If you are, eat all the yolks for cutting or gaining.

eat them, dont eat them.. just make sure the caloric intake is consistent with your goals (cutting, gaining, maintaining).

If you don't like to seperate them, you can get "Egg Starts" from CostCO or "Egg Beaters" just about anywhere. These two foods are 99% egg whites and less than 1% xanthan gum and coloring (nothing to fret about). If you're still worried, you can get cartons of "All Whites" which are totally, 100% egg whites. They don't taste as good in my opinion, but i think that's sortof placebo. The trace amounts of xanthan gum give it a consistency more like that of real eggs (hold it together more).
