Hi
Yup its me again, seem to pop up quite alot dont i? Anyways wanted some words of wisdom.
I am now on day 26 of my cycle,my cycle is usually between 35-37 days.Accoding to a internet test where you put in your cycle length etc i should have ovulated between day 18 and 23 needless to say DB covered these days!!!:D DB and i have been ttc this month and im dyding to know whether i have or not.
Ok so the earliest i can test with an early pg test is four days before af is due right? Which for me would be next sunday!! A week tomorrow, what i want to know is if i took a test now, wouldnt even just a very faint line appear? I couldnt hold on anymore and took a test this morning and it was BFN.I dont understand how nothing would come upl? Surely if i had concived even just a very very faint line would appear? Maybe im just being very nieve? Just wanted to know your thoughts? Sorry if this rambles on,but the not knowing is driving me mad (same as everybody else i guess) And its the waiting and waitng then getting a bfn and having to go through it all again the next month,i know all you ladies are probably feeling the same.
I think the other thing is i keep having strange dreams about it,the other night i had a distrubing dream that i went to the docs and they said i couldnt have any more babies because i had lots of dents in my womb? bizzare huh?

It is an exciting time isn't it! But you will need to be patient - a line (even a very faint one) will not appear until very close to your expected start of your period. Implantation occurs 6-10 days after ovulation on average and only then will your body start producing the hormone that a home test recognizes. It takes about a week after implantation for many people to see a line. The line's darkness isn't relevant - even if you are testing a week after your period, it may still appear very faint. Testing 4 days ahead gives you a pretty good chance that no hormone will be recognized even if you are pregnant.

Something else to keep in mind - you will have to pay attention to your own body's signs for ovulation. I also have cycles slightly longer than 28 days (I'm between 30 and 32) but I don't ovulate until day 20. I know how much you're dying to test- I am the same way, but now try to wait until a day or two at the most before af is expected because I have a fairly short time between my o date and the end of my cycle. You may want to consider temping or keeping track of your cm.

Good luck to you! We all know how you feel so feel free to keep asking questions!

Saw,
Just wanted to thankyou for your reply,i found it extremely helpful.I am just going to sit tight and wait until at least day 35 of my cycle, its very hard though and seems to be taking ages to get there.I do keep experiencin small bouts of nausea also but am not sure if this is just in my head,i also experience nausea before af also though so it still doesnt give me a yes or no.Anyways il keep you all posted, thankyou once again xx

Anytime! We're all in this together! I was going to wait until day 35 last month but af arrived right on schedule. I only tested once a few days before af was expected but in retrospect it was a waste of money. I can't wait until I o this month and get into my 2ww!

What day are you on now?
