can anybody walk long distances after healing from toe fusion? also, cany anyone who has healed wear shoes without a big toe box? i am going out of town next week and will be walking quite a bit. i will also be walking to dinner. any suggestions what kind of shoes to wear foe dinner that dont look sloppy? thanks for answering my stupid questions. this situation bothers me so much. debbie g

hi Debbie!

Im sorry you still seem to be having so much trouble with your toe :( I find that some of the sandal heels work better....the kind with the thong between the toes and no back on them. There isn't so much rubbing on my toe, which is more comfortable, yet they also are stylish and a little dressy. As for wearing normal shoes with a heel....a bigger toe box is a must for me. My toe really hurts if I try to wear a smaller toe box because of all of the rubbing.

Hope this helps!

i tried the thongs, but my foot keeps slipping out. when you wear normal shoe with a big toe box, what kind are they for the summer? thanks for responding.
