Hi to all:
Was just wondering if anyone of you suffer from muscle weakness with your depression ? I have worked out alot and my legs were always so strong and today was riding my bike and it was like there was nothing there. I am on liptor and have read where it can cause mw also, dont' know what the heck to think, it's also very humid out and it was like I was short of breath too, that hasn't happened for a long time either. Am I looking for symptoms ?
have a stress test on my heart on Thursday and it's scaring me to deat that they will find something wrong. Just what I need with my anxiety, depression/panic.

Thanks to all who have time to give me your opinion ..I am on effexor going on 7th day, UGH the side effects, but are starting to get a little better. NO appetite and tired .

God Bless and would love to hear your opinions.

It could very well be the lipitor.

I experienced muscle weakness with effexor. Have your doc monitor your blood pressure. Mine became elevated.

Hi Dinney,
I started to feel lethargic and muscle weakness and generally just physically tired over the past few months.
I was diagnosed just over a week ago with another onset of major depression and am now on Wellbutrin XL.
Prior to the lethargy and muscle weakness I was working out every day(too much actually)....was a distance runner, just completed my 5th marathon in early March of this year...now I would be lucky to run a 1/2 mile(but I'm forcing myself out the door tomorrow to do whatever I can).
So I think part of being depressed is having those physical symptoms as well, at least that has been my experience.
