I started out feeling the same way! I was always looking for a quick fix to my weight issue....there is none!! The first step I took was walking, then I started power walking, I finally have a gym membership and have included weights to my routine.
I also have started to watch my calorie intake. I hope this helps. Every little bit you do helps, but only you can do it !

If you're genetically predisposed to being slightly overweight, then whatever you do, you're gonna have to stick with it, it's no use losing the weight then stopping! The same thing will just keep happening.

It's hard to love something you aren't fond of doing. But if you mix the right diet with exercise, then psychologically you will feel good about it, because you know you are doing it the right way. Eventually it'll get easier, because it'll become a routine.

Just start off nice and slow in a gym, treadmill, rowing, whatever you fancy. After a few weeks, you can push yourself a little more, and every now and again you will leave the gym feeling great and excited about your next workout. It's tough, but it comes with time.

I felt the same way too, and I really dont think there is any "magical" way to make you suddenly love exercise.
Especially because alot of the time, people do it so they can look better. But what is a real motivation for me is knowing that I can make my body healthier, prevent illness and maybe live longer.

Fact is, your body NEEDS to eat healthy and have exercise.
I reckon starting off by cutting out the junk food in your diet, and just go for walks (not a "stroll" walk either! lol) for 30mins 3 times a week, might get you feeling better.

Try walking along the beach, or the park, or around your street. Make the scenery nice to look at.
I especially think when you walk outside, not on a treadmill, it makes time go by faster. Cause your actually trying to get somewhere! Not running on the same spot waiting til you reach your desired time.

Soon after, you could join a gym, which will probably motivate you once you get there!

Losing weight fast is not healthy and it's almost guaranteed you are going to get it all back. You need to lose it slowly with the right nutritional and exercize habits. This is the only way you are going to burn fat and not lose water as some fast diets achieve.

Nutrition wise, things are simple. Decrease your fat intake, especially saturated fats. Do NOT cut down on fat completely, this is not healthy. But do avoid fats in the evening and late at night. Eat healthy, lots of fiber and fruit and... very important... lots of water. Also, make sure you eat lots of small (and evenly spaced in the time scale) meals, do not starve yourself! Make sure your breakfast is complete and contains all sorts of essential vitamins and nutrients. Avoid fried food!

As far as exercise is concerned. We all know cardio will help you lose weight. Walking, running, jogging, or using several machines in the gym (treadmill etc). All these types of exercizes will help you burn fat if you do them frequently (say 3 times per week, or more), and you do them to a point where you sweat, heart beats faster etc.

What you also need to realise is that it is generally a VERY good idea to do some moderate exercizes with weights. Why? Because stimulating the muscles, makes them burn MORE calories... even when you are away from the gym, even when you are sleeping.

I also lost weight in the past, about 20pounds which I never got back. My main bad habit back then was that I consumed sugary & fatty foods very close to bed time. Cutting on that, and exercizing 3 times a week helped me a lot.
