View Full Version : Testicle Problems

I've finally decided to take some steps into researching some problems that i've been having, and i'm looking for any advice anyone can give me about these.

I'm 20 years old, and for a year or so, i've had some reoccuring pain in my testicles. Usually it's in the left one, and it seems to be a sharp pain that really only hurts when I move a certain way. The pain would be in my lower abdomen, above my groin, basically where it hurts when you get hit in the testicles.

Well, as much as it would hurt at that point...it would only last for maybe...15-20 minutes, at the very most, and then go away. After the pain would go away..I wouldn't have any problems or pain for..maybe up to 3 months later, and I might have that same pain, even thought it might be alot less painful, or maybe more..still, it would only last for a bit, and then go away.

I've done examinations, and there is a small bit of what feels like skin on the left testicle..but it doesn't hurt whatsoever.

The only problem i've had lately, beside the same reoccuring pain (which seems to be happening less, actually, but the latest was more painful) is that my testes seem to be hanging a bit looser, or maybe lower? I don't really pay that much attention to them, but it does kind of seem that way. Either way, they seem to be getting in the way more. Of course, what man doesn't have problems with that sort of thing. It's not fun for any of us, but still, it seems to be more often for me lately. I know the testes drop after/during puberty...but i'm long past that.

I hope my descriptions aren't too vague or common..or just normal problems everyone has. I'm just looking for some answers or suggestions. Of course, nothing can substitute the opinion of a doctor, so im going to schedule an appointment soon, but hopefully I can get some words of wisdom before then.

hi mate sorry i didn't notice your thread before i did mine

anyway i went to the doctors today and he told me that he thinks it's an infection so he gave me a strong doze of antibiotics 2 a day for a week and said if it's not any better within the week then to go back and see him but if it gets worse then i've to go into casualty and see about it for it could be that my testicle has twisted and that requires surgery he said it must be one of these two as my urine sample was fine and everything else seemed fine,so i'm just hoping it is just the infection as he thinks.

 With varicose veins, theres always goning to be some discomfort. I have them myself. What my doctor suggested was to wear a bit more support, and if that didn't help then I could consider having the removed, but this was common, and many men had them. As for what you are describing, sounds like you may have a hernia.
Over a period of time, it will get worse. The vein situation, from my expeirence basically stays the same. If the discomfort is unbarrible, something you can't live with, they can remove them. Let us know what your doctor says okay.

well he says since it started the pain has stayed the same and sometimes he wont experience pain for a few days and then it'll come like every day or every other day. and then it wont come for a few more days and then starts back up. he went to a doctor and got a sonogram and they said there is a really tiny small mass in it but it's only the size of 1/2 a mm. it's nothing he can feel himself. he also said that his testicles seem to be hanging lower. the doctor isnt worried about the mass and is going to give him a follow up on it in like a month. any thoughts?
