I like to shave off my stomach / chest / shoulder hair, which doesn't grow that thick but just generally doesn't suit me. I tend to shave it about once a week. Ah, also a little bit that grows on the damn feet haha  Anyway, I'm pretty tired of this as shaving doesn't work that great anyway and the smooth feeling is gone after 24 hours. I've thought about waxing, but everything I've read says waxing your chest is a bad idea and is a recipe for disaster. I've thought about going to a salon to get it done... But is there anything else I can do that can get rid of this hair? And, no laser treatments please - I can't afford them, and if I could, I wouldn't want to do something which takes about a year of treatments to really work.

I was content with the idea of waxing my own hair off, but... Now I'm scared off by the fact you can't use strips on the chest. What can I do to remove hair that'll last about one-two months per session? Other than professional waxing at the salon..

All the men in my famly have been very hairy - all over. Fortunately my wife likes it but doesn't like it too long. I've been using one of those barber clippers to do chest stomach groin etc. I shaved once but really didn't like the stubble and neither did the wife -said it was like making love to sandpaper. I only have to do this maybe everyother week so it pretty easy to maintain. Sorry I can't help with the waxing info.
