Well, Mom finally met with the oncologist and he scheduled her for a radical hysterectomy next week. Everything is happening quickly now. They will also remove some suspect lymph nodes for biopsy. He would only say that uterine cancer is highly treatable. But wouldn't get much more specific than that.

So he will do the surgery and they will send everything to the pathologist. Once the results from that come back he will tell us Stage I, Stage II, etc. While he's in there, he's also going to take a good, exploratory look at her stomach, bowel, colon, intestines, etc. to look for tumors. Just in case the CT scan missed anything.

This is it. I'm so nervous.

I am a 38 year old Uterin Cancer Survivor, I was diagnosed at age 21, I have already gone through everything that your Mother is about to go through...Believe me it's not going to be easy but she can make it thru...I did and Doctors are still amazed at how well I am doing. Be strong and keep the Faith.

Hi - would you mind me asking what your symptoms where, in other words howyou knew you has a problem, hope you dont find this intrusive - wow 21 was very young. SOOOOO glad that you are a survivor! Congratulations!!Thanks
