Well, Mom finally met with the oncologist and he scheduled her for a radical hysterectomy next week. Everything is happening quickly now. They will also remove some suspect lymph nodes for biopsy. He would only say that uterine cancer is highly treatable. But wouldn't get much more specific than that.
So he will do the surgery and they will send everything to the pathologist. Once the results from that come back he will tell us Stage I, Stage II, etc. While he's in there, he's also going to take a good, exploratory look at her stomach, bowel, colon, intestines, etc. to look for tumors. Just in case the CT scan missed anything.
This is it. I'm so nervous.
How is everyone else holding up?
