I am on the pill but towards the end of one pack I messed things up ( not sure exactly what I did, I took pills out of the wrong day which confused me so I ended up missing one ). Instead of having my normal 7 day break I carried on with a new pack as you are told to. During this second pack I had to go on a course of antibiotics for a week and whilst on them had sex without using a condom.
For the last week or so I've had extremely tender, sore breasts, have felt sick ( although I haven't actually been sick ) on a few mornings, feel more emotional than normal ( I seem to be crying for no reason ) and am constantly tired. I have a feeling I might be pregnant but I dont know when I should take a pregnancy test. I took the last pill in my pack last night, when could I take the test and get an accurate reading?
Anyones help would be appreciated.

It could be that you are pregnant especially with having unprotected sex during the treatment with antibiotics. It's also possible that your body is reacting differently to the hormones in the pill with continuous use (without the 7 day break) because the pill can cause sore breasts, fatigue, and moodiness as well.
You could probably test now if it's been 2 weeks since the unprotected sex while on antibiotics, but it may still be too early. It's best to test if you don't get your period while on the placebo pills. For me, I usually needed 3-4 days on the placebo pills to start my period; I would test if you don't get a period while on the placebo pills. If you're still worried and get your period, you can test the day before you start a new pack to put your mind at ease.

Numerous recent tests have shown that the ONLY antibiotic that lowers the efficiency of birth control pills is Rifampin, a drug used for treating TB. So unless you took that drug, the chances that your antibiotics had any effect on your pill are tiny.
That said, even when used perfectly, the pill is only 99% effective. That means that out of 100 women using it perfectly for a year, one will become pregnant.
Take a test.
Your symptoms could be pregnancy-related, or it could be PMS. If the test is negative, and you don't get your period during the seven day break, start your next pack as usual, but go to your doctor for a blood pregnancy test.
If you are pregnant, taking the pill for a few days will not hurt your baby. If your are not pregnant, then you haven't compromised your protection.
