View Full Version : Episcloridis

I have had 2 opthamologist diagnose me with episcloridis in only my left eye. They say it has nothing to do with the eye, but a symtom of something else, such as a rheumatoid problem. I have had to put an antinflammatory drop in my eye ever day for the last year. I also had sudden hearing loss (about 50%) along with tinnitus all within the same 6 week period about a year ago. I am so scared of all of this. I have been to countless ENT, Rheumtologist, Opthamologist, Allergists.....I am now considering going to a specialist for ENT at the U of M Medical Center in Ann Arbor. Can anyone offer any suggestions or help. I really need it. I am only 49 years old.

My blood work is near normal, ANA is slightly elevated to the high normal end, some blood counts are slightly low such as hemoglobin, but not way out. I have allergies, high cholesterol (high triglicerides and low HDL), tinnitus in bilateral, all of this seems to indicate either AIED or Cogan's Syndrome. But in the mean time, this is all a mystery and very uncomfortable and scary.
