About a week ago, I woke up with my throat very sore. I looked in the mirror and the right side of the back of my throat was swollen. I went to the ER that evening and they told me it was tonsillitis. They gave me antibiotics, which I am still taking but I'm almost out of. It was starting to get better and the pain had went away. Now today when I woke up, my throat is sore again and the swelling is starting to come back. I also have some small white bumps on BOTH sides where my tonsils are. Not very many, only 4 or 5 that I can see in the mirror. I do not have any insurance at the moment, so I can really afford all the office visits and doctor bills if its not necessary. So, my questions are: 1. Do most people get the white bumps with tonsillitis or could it possibly be strep throat? 2. Should I go back to the doctor now, or wait a few days to see if it clears up?
