  Hi, It's me again. I went to the eye doctor today. Left eye is now 20/20 right eye has regressed to 20/25 with still some edema. My eye doctor said that will probably be as good as I can get. He feels that the eye surgeon under corrected me in my right eye. I will probably need an enchancement in that eye. But he said since I still have a little edema still it might get better. time will tell. I go back in two months. I should know by then if I need an an enchancement. I would like to know opinions on the enchancement procedure? I love the talk board it has been very helpful. The eye doctor also has taken me off retasis. He told me to just eye drops when I need it.

From what I have read very few doctors will enhance 20/25 vision. Most will say you have to be 20/40 or worse to risk doing an enhancement. I am sure there are exceptions though.

I have 20/20 in my left eye and 20/25 in my right, although some days it feels slightly worse than that, but there is no way I would get an enhancement on it. 20/25 is something I can function with quite well. I would think you should only consider an enhancement if your eyes continued to get worse. The only thing you need to remember when getting an enhancement is that the risk for epithelial ingrowth is increased. I asked the eye technicians about this the first time, I wanted to know the risks in the original procedure and they said it only becomes an issue when there is an enhancement. When they do enhancements they check the person's eyes everyday for a week for this.
So my 2 cents is don't bother getting an enhancement unless your eye gets worse, but know there is additional risk involved.
