My DH and I have been diagnosed with our infertility problem. After progesterone tests and an HSG, I have no problems as of now. My DH has excellent sperm count and volume, but he has low motility. It should be 50 or above, and it's at 24%.

My RE recommended IUI. We are able to afford 1 round of it, so we are set to do it with my next cycle which will be in about 2 weeks.

What are are chances of conceiving on the first round of IUI? Any advice?

I'm really not sure what the odds are for your first IUI, but I can tell you about something that has helped us. My DH also had low motility and morphology when we started doing IUI'S, but he has been taking L-Carnitine and Emergen-C daily, and his counts are now excellent! So that may be something to consider. It's stuff that is normally included in men's fertility blends, but you can get them at Wal-Mart and they are much less expensive. The NP at our RE'S office has said that she's seen couples get pg with low numbers, so there is definitely hope! :) I hope this is helpful and I wish you luck!
