Does anyone have any experience with getting an eye xray (orbit xray) prior to getting an mri done? This is where they check for metal fragments in the eyes. If they find metal fragments what does this mean? Do they still do the mri? I would like to find this out prior to getting the xray done and getting the mri cancelled (schedueled in March 2001).

MRI are not done for metallic foreign bodies, since we don't want the magnetic fields moving any metal particle around inside the eye.
