Sounds like nerve pain to me....burning is the one pain that you can't seem to get away from (no matter what you do or what you take). Bottom line, get a visit with your primary care doctor quickly so that you can get the appropriate diagnotics done.

Sometimes it may just be intense muscle pain that presses upon a nerve, but either way, seek care sooner than later!

Best of luck!

i do think we would all love that too.have you ever actually had an MRI or any other pics taken of your c spine area?i agree, what you are most likely experiencing is from nerve affectation at some level in your lower c spine or upper T spine areas.there could be many possible causes you just need to really find out what is going on inside the neck and upper thorasic areas to really know what may be there.you can have some pretty incredible sensations and pains when the spinal nerves and/or cord is involved/affected in some way, trust me on that one.i would just see your doc for the initial eval of your symptoms with a referral for that MRI,preferrably with contrast,it just highlights a bit more than without it.then see whats up and go from there, probably to a good neurosurgeon or spine specialist of some sort.it all depends really on just what your main issues turn out to be with the MRI.i wish you luck and hope there isn't anything major going on there but you DO need to find this out soon.please let us know just what you find out,K?marcia

back in Jan I did have a mri done without the dye This was just of the neck though But I'm having alot more problems now I wasn't hurting in my upper back then here it is
there are degenerative changes within the cervical spine with minimal spondylosis, mild facet arthropathy and mild uncovertebral hypertrophy. There is no significant focal laterzlizing disc herniation, spinal canal stenosis or neural foraminal narrowing identified. There is a small region of increased T/2stir signal and decreased T1 signal along the posterior margin of the trachea at the thoracic inlet. This measures roughly 3mm APx 1.3cm CC.Images through the posterior cranial fossa are unremarkable. There is mild mucosal thinkening within the right maxillary sinus

I just have been to my reg dr he has me on Lyrica 75mg and baclofen 10mgs..which it seemed to be helping after a week of taken it but now it's like I'm not taking anything at all..at times I hurt diff places through out my body..my arms shoulders in my fingers in front of my lower knees..but my neck and upper back is the worse of it all..my upper back really hurts after sitting it burns and hurts so bad I have to get up and move to try and take pressure off it,it seems..I've also been hurting in my lower back and butt down left leg at times but not as bad..I can't move my neck side to side without it grinding and making clicking like sounds..I know I need to go to someone that deals with this kind of stuff. But I just hate being out that kind of money when alot of times it takes so long for them to figure out anything..and from what I have read on here alot of times they really don't know to much of the upper back or just what I have read thanks for all your help it really does mean alot to me

have you seen a neurosurgeon just to actually have this explained to you?i would want to know about those changes that are noted at the thorasic inlet.this could be one big source of your symptoms depending on just what this actually signal change is all about.you would not be getting the whole pic on this from any primary doc, they just simply do not have the overall knowledge to even deal with this type of situation.you NEED a good NS to go over your films with you.do not settle for a neurologist, you need the expertise of a neurosurgeon for the best eval and that second read of your films.just ask your doc for the referal.this really does need to be fully evaluated if you even stand a chance at really finding out what is causing your symptoms and pain.i wish you luck, please keep meposted as to what you find out.Marcia

I thought this was something to do with the sinus that was noted at the end I wonder why my dr didn't say anything about that

because as only a family practitioner, they just do not have the right level of knowledge and experience.it is just too over his head for him to actually make any real sense of it for you.or most importantly, what this could be triggering in you symptom wise.your main symptoms appear to be at the thorasic area,so this could be just a possible trigger.you really DO need to have this much more clearly explained by a real neurosurgeon(what IS this?and just what can or could it be affecting?).make sure it is a neuroSURGEON and not neurologist.NSs do their own reads of all films.they just have that right level of expertise you need that neurologists just do not have.just see your doc for a referral.you just have to have this more clearly defined for you and see how this could be affecting you.please keep me posted,Marcia

Do you know what T1 and T2 is.....This is really all Greek to me..I wish I was up on this stuff Like alot of Ya'll..I try and it don't make sense to me at all..My dad is really on me about going to the dr again and getting this stuff checked out I know I do so I'll call today and make an appointment to see if he can tell me about what is in this report and refer me to someone else

in this case,i do think the T 1 2 is actually related to the weighted pics.i remeber reading this in one of the other posts.at first i thought it was related to the actual thorasic spine area but if i remeber right it was stated like 'in the T 1 weighted picture..."it can all be very confusing anyway but when you have a possible T spine problem it gets even worse.if you go back and reread your post or report,i think you will see that the way it is stated is in reference to the way they actually take the pics and not your actual T spine at all.not 100% certain but if i am remebering correctly(thats always kind of a hit or miss type thing anyways, lol)that was what i got out of it at the time.

you just really DO need to see a neurosurgeron for the best possible eval of your films and your symptoms.i am not even really certain here as to what they are actually referring to for sure when they stated the 'thorasic inlet" since it could be a vascular inlet or a nerve inlet.so even that is not certain either.like i said,a neurosurgeon.good luck TS,and keep me posted.Marcia

I am so sorry to hear that you hurt all over.. It's bad enough just to have the neck pain by itself, but to have it running down the legs too.. I hope too that it went well at your dr's. appt. Please let us know what the outcome was and I hope that you had a less painful day today.
