My three year old has broken out with a bunch of red spots on her torso - it began on her stomach, a few on her back, then it started spreading up and down her sides, now it's slowly spreading down her legs. She's had this before, and the doctor was stumped then too. They said to give benadryl and hope it goes away.
It's NOT roseola - no high fever before the rash. She does have a very low grade fever in the 99.3 - 99.9 range NOW, after the rash started. The spots look a lot like bug bites, but they don't itch or bother her at all. They're just ugly and scary looking. The spots do blanch when pressed on, and the largest spots are slightly bigger than a pencil eraser. She doesn't really have any other symptoms either.
Has ANYONE had any experience like this before? Any information would be greatly appreciated!!! =)
