Hello all,
I'm 19 and im losing my hearing. I can be standing literally 1.5m away from someone and struggle to hear what they are trying to say to me. If I am not looking at them sometimes I dont even know they are talking to me. And also I get a pain inside my ears just behind the tragus thing.

My mum says that I'm just being ignorant and ignoring people but im not.
But she also said it could be ear wax, so I tried the drops to loosen wax and nothing happened.

I went to my doctors and they said that I had no wax in it. And he said that he didnt know what was up with my ears and so im being referred to a ENT doctor for a hearing test. I was just wondering what it could possibly be and whether its permanent and what treatment i can expect?
