This morning I woke up with a bright pink spot on the ring finger knuckle of my right hand. At first I thought I had just slept in it wrong, but it still hasn't gone away. Just now I noticed that it is slightly raised, like a little bubble or something. My mother thinks that it's a pimple under the skin, but I'm still worried. It isn't painful or itchy or anything like that. Can you even get pimples under the skin? Does anyone have any thoughts as to what it might be and should I be worried? Thanks in advance.

It could be a pimple. They do start off under the skin and it is only near the end of the healing stages that a pimple rises above the skin in the resulting ooze that we pop out of it. All pimples start as a minor infection under the skin first. So, it could be a pimple. It could also be a bug bite. Sometimes my mosquito bites don't start itching until almost 24 hours after I got the bite. So, give it a day or so and, it should change in one way or another.
