If not, we'll be waiting to hear how you are doing and how everything went. If you're resting up after the procedure tomorrow and can't get on-line, just give us a post on Thurs and let us know all about it! I'm soooo excited for you, and I feel in my heart that this one is going to be it for you and in nine months you'll be a mommy to a very lucky baby (or babies!)!!!!

hey ladies thanks so much for thinking about me. im okay.. the e/r went by pretty fast, i was only a little crampy afterwards, but i took 2 percocet, adn an hr later everything came up (yucky, sorry tmI) but i dont feel anymore pain. ive been sleeping on a off. well my re told me there was 6 eggs, ive never had such a small amount, and i knew there were more on the u/s!! belive me i felt them, lol. well im hoping that there are 6 mature eggs, i alled to find out. i knowmy first ivf i had 17 eggs, but only 10 mature and all 10 fertilized. so we will see. i hope they call me soon, because it just feels better to know you are working with more. but one quality embryo is all it takes. please pray for them to be the bestest quality and fertilize! thanks so much. im nodding out, so im gonna go lie back done. once agin thanks sosoo ssooo much for your support!!! <3 aimee

Aimee, I'm glad you are doing okay. Sorry that you got sick... my stomach also has a very difficult time with percocet. As for your retrieval, I am very hopeful that all six will be mature and all six will fertilize! That is such a great stat from your first IVF that all 10 of the mature eggs fertilized!!! I hope the lab and your mature eggies do an equally superb job this time around!!! Good luck, get some rest, and give us another update whenever you are ready!!!!

Hey Aimee, glad to hear e/r went smoothly. Sorry you got sick though, that stinks. I wonder if your RE actually retrieved more than 6 eggs but only told you 6 because that is how many looked mature? Who knows. Either way, like you said, it only takes one good one. I will definitely be praying they all fertilize and grow really strong so you can implant two perfect ones and freeze the rest for siblings. :D

hey my nurse called me yesterday afternoon to see how i was and she told me 5 out of the 6 were mature. im so confused! but i know qualtity matters more then quantity. im just so scared that even though these are mature, what if they arent good quality, ahh!! part of me is telling myself that, this is the least amount ive had and im only nervous because there is less to work with, but maybe thats a good thing, because my last 2 fresh ivf cycles i had more and i got BFN. sometimesthey say its the not so perfect cyels that work. so i will just be praying. once they are back in me i will feel much better. im just scared what if they dont make it that far. i will def. give you an update when i hear from them today!! just looking for an opinion. i probably shouldnt be jumping to any conclusions until i hear the quality of the embryons, but what do you think... my first 1vf we transferred 3 grade a embryos and i got BFN! the second time we transferred 2 balsts and got a BFN. from that cycle we had 2 to freeze, so we then did a frozen cycle and transferred 2 frozen blasts and i got a bfp, that you all know started with low numbers and only rose slowly for a ferw days, then i had a miscarriage.. SOOOO this ivf will probably be my last, maybe not forever, but ive been doing ivf for a year straight. so i pretty much cant imagine being "conservative" if we do a 3 day cycle and if i still have 4 embryos left, is it crazy to consider transferring all 4. i know that even with 3 transferred chance of triplets are 5% or under, so im sure with 4 chances of all 4 are very low. im just trying to do everything in my power to get pregnant with one. what do you ladies think? am i nuts?!?! or at this stage of the game would any of you be thinking about this?! especially considering i only have 5 mature embryos, who knows if 4 will make it to saturday :( sorry im trying to be positive, but ive never been this scared before the transfer!!

ps. princesswetns this an egg retrieval for ivf :) and i wil begin my 2ww saturday when tehy do the egg transfer!! yes it can all be confusing when you havent done it yourself....

Oh Aimee, I don't think you're crazy at all. It is a huge decision to figure out how many to transfer back. You don't want to end up with higher order multiples, but on the other hand, you want it to work! I can't tell you what to do, you and DH will have to talk w/ your dr and figure out what's best for you. But I WILL say that if it were me & BF making the decision, we would definitely consider putting back 4. Heck, we already had a transfer where we put back 3 and we have no baby from it. Of course, if that's something you two end up doing, you will have to be prepared for the possibility of higher order multiples. And we all know that our drs recommend selective reduction in those situations, so you would have another tough decision ahead of you if the situation played out that way. Now that I've got your mind spinning :dizzy: , I'm gonna say try not to worry about all that right now. :p Just do your best to relax and make yourself a nice and comfy home for those embryos to settle in in a few days. I didn't mean to go on so much about the # of embryos, I just wanted you to know that you're not crazy for thinking that way and we all are here to support you no matter what.

When will you hear the fert report?

well i couldnt handle the suspense anymore and i called the office at 9:30am to ask when they would call me with a fertilization report. and i spoke with the embryologist and she said 4 out of the 5 fertilized!! so i feel a little better, she said the ones that fertilized look beautiful so far, and they will call me tomorrow a.m to let me know how they are dividing. if they all make in until saturday, depending on the re's comments i think i will just put them all back. i feel good about that.. if they were blasts, i might be more scared, but im scared to death of not getting pregnant AGAIN! this may be it for me and dh for a long time, so i have to stay POSITIVE!! and you ladies will help me do that, im sure :blob_fire :bouncing: Aimee

I can t imagine how difficult it must be for you to take certain decisions i am not really in a position to give suggestions since i ve never done IVF but i think you should first discuss the issue with your dr than together with DH do what you both think is best.

I don't think your nuts at all to transfer 3 or 4. It really does just increase your chances that at least one will take. Plus, I'd be concerned that if you were to freeze a couple of them, they might not make it through the thaw during a future FET attempt. Keep in mind we will support you no matter what you decide to do!!!!

im already anxious about getting the call tomorrow about my embabies. i really hope all 4 make it, because i really want to be able to decide on whether i want to put them all back... but hey even if i have one or 2 good ones, that could be my baby :) i just cant wait to transfer day, im gonna be so anxious tomorrow, so i think im gonna try to sleep alot. haha!! im off work tomorrow and im not coming back until next thurs, the day after july4th. so i have a nice amount of time to just relax!! then after a short work week im having a huge bbq at my new house!!! im really excited, and (dh adn my bff will be helping set up alot so its not too much on me) plus i figured the weekends is when i stress a lot during the 2ww, so it will keep me busy friday night and saturday the day of the party and that sunday cleaning up!!! so hopefully next thing i know it beta day will be here.. plus my s-i-; who is 17 weeks pregnant, she is gonn rub her preggo hormones all over me hehehe :) it worked for her sister, who had problems ttc!! took her 3 yrs and injections to have 1st baby, and then had numberous early miscarriages, and she just heard the heartbeat last night (this is the furthest she made it in a pregnancy, since her daughter she had 3 1/2 yrs ago!!) so we are all supert excited!! im hoping to add cousin #3 :blob_fire sorry my post is so long, im almost out of work, and im trying to pass the time before vaca!! <3 aimee

Hey Aimee that's pretty nice that you've got some good time off, esp after your transfer! i have insomnia!! ahh. i had so much running through my head last nite, even after 2 anxiety pills and a tylenol pm, im still awake. i just kept going over and over different scenaros, good and bad. and i was pre-planning my discussion with the dr. and i havnt even gotten a call to schedule e/t yet. HA! i hope tonite it better. ive never been like this. i was downstairs at 1am and got real tired, went back to bed adn just tossed and turned, id look at clock and no more then an hr had gona my. fnally around 4:30 i just gave in. took my morning dose of meds and dh gave me shot b4 he left for work. anyway, please pray this doesnt happen to me tonite. i dont want to be this anxious going into transfer!!!! thanks girls :)

When will you know how your embryos are doing? I understand your concern....the first few days i found out i was preggo i didn t sleep at all not actually with excitement but with fear. Now even though i am slightly more relaxes i have nightmares........so i am trying to do some mild physical activity before i sleep like a walk ..........and it helped a bit.

hey girls, i called the nurse around 11:30am, she said she tried to call me earlier but she had the wrng cell number!! but shedid leave msg on my work phone, so i would of gotten the news one way or another. she said all 4 did divide overnite. and she suggested tranferrign 4!! so it looks liek i dont have to "talk" my re into anything haha!! she pretty much said you have already faild more then one ivf so we try to get more agressive, so we usually do 3, but you have 4 so if youd want i think we should put them all back! and that is exactly how i feel. i dont know if they are 4/6/or 8 cells or anything yet, i will know that tomorrow am. i hav to be there at 8am with a FULL bladder, and we will discuss our decision on how many to put back, the risks, etc etc etc. and get some pics of the embabies, sign some paperwork, then the transfer. i will let you all know how it goes. i will prob be IN BED ALL DAY 2maro. catch up on some movies. hehe. please keep those prayers coming girls!! :angel: :bouncing: Aimee

hey ladies!! when i got the the re the 4th embryo stopped dividing over night i think it was at 2?!?! so we tranferred the other 3 embryos. they were all 8 cells, started to compact already, and graded 5. which according to my re is the best!! he said 1 is lots of fragmentation etc. and 5 is "perfect" the embryologist said looking back at all other cycles, these are the BEST embryos ive had. yesterday i pretty much laid in bed, watching movies. sleeping every now and then. today im just taking it easy. im very moody tho, but im trying to control my anger so i dont upset the embabies!! lol. it can be hard tho, those hormones make me NUTSO!!! so now i guess i just wait. i know its TOO TOO early to feel anythnig because implantation wouldnt start to begin yet, so i havent been searching for signs or symptoms yet. give me 2 or 3 days, and im sure i will start anaylzing everythnig. haha :) thanks for all your support, please keep the prayers coming, and i will let you all know how im doing, WOW im officianlly in the 2ww (again!!)

Hey Aimee!!! That's fabulous that you have three perfect embryos now right where they belong! It must have felt pretty good to hear that these are the best looking embies from all your cycles! Glad that you are taking some down time and relaxing... just what those lil embies need to keep growing strong and implant for you! As for the homones, I can def relate, except I'm all mushy and teary all the time! It's good to be aware of it... I think that prob helps us to keep it all in check!

Congatulations on a wonderful transfer with 3 wonderful embabies. Take it easy and let thoe little ones snuggle in tight. I'm praying for a bfp in two weeks. My RE said that with two embabies I would have 55% chance and if we did three it uped the chances to 70% so I am considering three myself if I have that many just have to wait and see.

I am three days ahead. when do you find out? I find out on the 15/07. It seems ages away. we are only allowed to put two embryos in for women under 37. I keep asking for three. Hoping that aleast one (if not two) take hold. I am feeling tired and sick so hoping.

hey ladies. my re only suggest one day of bedrest. so ive been just trying to take it easy. its good to go for a walk, get the blood flowing to the uterus :) anyway, i know its early only 6dpo and 3 days post transfer (well its late in the day, so almost 4 days post transfer) but ive been feeling so exhausted. i noticed it last nite. not like oh its late, time for bed. almost like that drowsy feeling you get from taking benadryl or something... like a little dizzy in the head??! and sunday nite i started to notice a tightness in my pelvis. i did have this a litle last ivf. almost like a pulle muscle, not painful at all, just like i cant sit comfortable, because i feel something pulling there. that comes and goes. but i know inplantation is aroudn 6 dpo, so if i have any "symptoms, they wouldnt start really happending until after today, but younever know, whats in my head, and whats not. hehe:) my boobs have hurt since before the transfer, so i know thats the meds, and tehe exhaustation is progesterone, but if i am pregnant, i would be prob proudcing more progesterone, therfore being even more tired. so we will see!! my beta is july 14. pauline if you are 3 days ahead of me why isnt your beta until the 15th?? i never heard of a dr waiting more then 14 days post transfer, because that is like 17 dpo.. ?!?! yea it feels like far away, but i have a really good feeling this time!! but i dont want to get my hopes up too high either. please ladies just pray for me :) thanks so much!!! <3 aimee

I am on Pregnal injections so for some reason I am waiting to day 17 to do the urine test. We don't do beta test in Australia (well, not my clinic). I am feeling tired but I think that is because I have the flu. So the 15th is my day, although I have decided to test early!!!!! So if I get a positive, at least there will be some hope.
