well i signed up to ths site just because i am really worried about something, i am 15 and i have a lump under my arm pit and a few more a bit lower, but i have it on both sides. the lump under my armpit could be a swolen gland but the ones further down are smaller. I get pains recently in my back and sides and have a cough but this is only happened about 2-3 days ago. I am worried sick about this and people keep telling me its gristle, because they say it dont feel like cancer lumps. i also went the drs to get a blood test about the 1s under my armpit not the ones below because they only appered about 3 weeks ago, and the blood test came bak all fine. I went bak about a month ago and he sed theres no need for tests or anything about this lumps under my arm pit. Well the thing i am worried about is the pain and the other lumps below my armpit and the cough?

Some1 told me they were lymphs nodes and to post in this board to see what you people say. could u also explain what lymphs nodes are an confirm that this person is correct.

I am sorry no one has replied but it is impossible to say what your symptoms might be....only a doctor can determine if there is a problem. Sometimes lymph nodes do become swollen because of infection and can remain enlarged for some time. If you are still worried, I would go back to the doctor and tell him your concerns so he can either order more tests or reassure you that you have nothing to worry about.
