My Periodontist has quoted me $1500 USD for a gum (tissue) graft on one teeth (the root of one of my front teeth is almost exposed). Is that reasonable? Is it true that if I don't have any problem 2-3 weeks after the gum graft I should be okay?

The reason I am asking is, I am working on a foreign assignment now but will return home in the fall. If I do it here and have problem after I return home I won't be able to go back to the Perio. Thank you very much. Really appreciate your suggestion.
