View Full Version : Implant in Orange County California?

Hi,

My 67 years old mother is starting to lose her lower front tooth. As a result, she's too embarassed to go outside or smile. She's also missing molars on both side of her mouth.

She does have periodontal problem and her general dentist doesn't recommend implant because he says it won't last with her periontal condition. He recommends a single tooth denture or a bridge.

I don't want to do a bridge because that seems like a temporary problem. I like to resolve her tooth problems before she gets too old to handle surgeries.

We live in Westminster, CA in Orange County, CA.

Anybody have good experience with an implant specialist in Orange County? I saw that in my area there's a Dr Morgan at implant center of OC that advertises with direct mailing post cards. Anybody have experience with them?

From what I understand implants are not a simple procedure and I would certainly take into account your dentist's advice given the problems that she has. Bridges are not a temporary fix. Both my husband and niece have them and they work just fine and feel quite natural after a short time of getting used to them. If she is eating fine without a few back molars then I would let that be, just take care of the one that is bothering her for cosmetic reasons. Just my opinion and maybe others can help your more, but at her age a bridge is the least painful and easiest way to go I think.
