i've been on birth control pills for two weeks, taking the pill at relatively the same time every night (maybe an hour or two off once or twice)..
since i had sex without any other protection on the night of two weeks of taking it, should i be worried? or would the pill protect me enough by then?

I don't think you should be worried. How soon you are protected when you start the pill depends on if you started on the first day of your period or the sunday start. If you started on the first day of your period then you are protected right away. If you did the sunday start then you are protected after 7 days. Read the insert that comes with your pill it should tell you how soon you are protected.

Well if you read directions on all bc, it tells you to be catious upto two to three months

Agree with both posts. You are protected the first week if taken the first day of bleeding. If taken the first Sunday after period then you need to use back up for a week. After that week take them every day around the same time with out missing and you will be protected.

I usually hear about 7 days too, but some pills maybe just recommend that to be EXTRA safe. I would think you would be okay. I read an article in a magazine that said if you have combination pills (with progestin and extrogen, I believe) if you are an hour or two or so off, you will still be well protected. They recommend taking it within a 3 hour window. However, if your pill only has one hormone, it's VERY imporant to take it at the same time because even 30 minutes late can throw it off. I am glad mine is a combination pill!!
