Thank you all for your responses....me and DH went to the RE which we thought was our IVF consultation....but basically we (again) just sat with a different Dr. and discussed my case.....We told the Dr. that we were thinking of doing the IVF in October..(after our cruise)...he then said since we are thinking about October...there is no need right this early to have IVF consultation (thats not what the nurses said) anywho 2 out of 3 Dr.s (same practice) suggested that since we are waiting till October for the IVF...that I should get a Laproscopy (had one in 05)to remove the endo that came back and to clear my tube, try IUI for 2 months and see what happens...then move on to IVF....which makes sense...the first Dr. said go right to IVF...cause of his counts and my FSH high (16).....So I think Im going to do the Laproscopy which in turn will up my % a little to get pregnant .....Also from all the advice that I got on here for Acupunture.....I asked the Dr. about it...and he right away gave me a Dr. they use (he even used him)....so Next week I have my evaluation.....Thanks for listening

Hi Brownie,
It sounds like you have a good plan ahead of you. I also am in a waiting pattern to start IVF, not until January, and was wondering if there was anything to keep myself busy w/until then. I was also considering acupuncture, as there is a facility in the same building as my RE. I would love to hear any updates on what they tell you, especially if starting acupuncture ahead of time increases your odds or anything. I wish you good luck on your journey, and hopefully the IUI's will bring success and you don't have to move onto IVF!

HI Brownie! It sounds like we have a game plan going! That is great news, cherie!! So when do you go in for the Laproscopy? And we're always here to listen and support!! Keep us posted! *****BABY DUST*****
LOL, I just posted that exact same post on the other thread replying to you. An dthen I found this one!! But in all seriousness, this really does sound like we have a game plan! I hope the IUIs work, or good old fashioned BDing!
Christin, definitely think seriousnly about acupuncture, that is my advice. I'm using it right now, and it's AMAZING. it hasn't done much for my fertility yet, but I've only done it for about three weeks. But where it's done here, they had a study , and by the end of it 56/57 IF women were pg in a YEAR. And they had undergone IVF treatments (one had 3+ treatments!) and IUIs! even if you just go for the relaxation, it really helps keep you calm and focused, we all know that relaxation is the best way to kill stress! ;)

ooh, too bad your insurance won't pay. Mayb eif you just did one session a week, it could work out. Or check around for other ones in our area. Or other alternative treatments, like reiki...ther ewas one woman on this board who got pg and has a 7 month old girl righ tnow who suffered from IF and attributed a lot of her success to reiki. I'm looking into western meds as well as alternative as well.....just to cover all my bases *****BABY DUST******

Hi Brownie... I think your plan sounds great! You may even get your BFP without having to spend the $$ on IVF. Good luck with your lap. I have had one and it isn't that bad. The IUI's are very easy, as well, which I am sure you have done, but just wanted to let you know, just in case.

Hi Brownie! Reiki is done by "laying of hands" based on the theory that an unseen life energy runs through us. Low energy leads to stress and illnesses, both acute and chronic, and high enrgy makes us happy and healthy (much like theory behind acupuncture) Reiki treats the whole person, not just pieces of the puzzle, but the whole person including physical body, emotions, and mind. It creates peace feeling secure and well being. (like after a really really good massage) A lot of people have had a lot of good results from this threapy. But there are also a lot of other alternative therapies too that are worth looking into aong with western pracitces. Hope that helped cherie! ****BABY DUST****

Princess,
Thank you for you feedback on acupuncture, and also explaining reiki. You are such a supportive person, for only being on this board a short time. You have already surpassed me on posts (I guess I'm still shy;) ) I just wanted to thank you for the amazing things you tell everyone, some of the support you show others is so touching to me, I actually get emotional reading your posts, because I can feel how much you actually mean it. I hope your journey with IF is short. Now, when you go to the Dr. July 9th, it would be a good idea to be prepared with everything you need to ask them, tests you want to get done, advice they have to offer you in the mean time, since it took you so long to get your appointment. I started myself a notebook, printed things out from the internet, and took them all in with me and went through each of them one by one with my dr. It helped me remember everything I wanted to ask them.
Good Luck:bouncing:

Ah, ma cherie! :bouncing: Such a sweet, kind post to make me emotional as well!
Everyone here is so supportive...and while I wish that none of us never have to suffer the duress of IF, I am so glad we have each other. I think that we're so close becuase we have such a hard time together. I find that I am closer to my firends that i have been through a lot with. It is perfectly alright if you are still shy. We love you so much, and I always write becuase I am at work, and a very bad worker sometimes ;) But I couldn't do this without mes dames. It is sometimes hard for me becuase I write very fast so sometimes I write french, but nothing too hard. Hahaha.
And thnak you for your advice. Do you have any questions I can use? What did you ask at your first appt? If you could help, I would be so grateful! And if not, I am still grateful to you beucase I know you are here. Just as I amhere pour toi, et for all the ladies here, sffering from IF and ladies who are concerned abotu their pg.

Bonjour Princess! (that might be all you get out of me as far as french goes for now ;) )
A good question for you to ask would be what tests can they run to confirm pcos. Usually they need to do b/w on certain cycle days, so since you have to wait forever for your appts, you might want to ask about that while you're there. Then you can also ask them if they plan on checking for any other issues, like w/ your tubes or w/ cysts or anything else. There are various tests they can run to make sure everything is working properly.
I don't know if that helps, but I hope so.

Salut Holly Dolly!
Oui, bien sur, that helps a lot! I really have no idea what to ask...th elast I've been to an acutal GYN, I was 16, and I was still used to being talked at as adult to child, not doctor to patient. Oui, I will ask!
It is still 2 weeks away, but I am very nervous... :dizzy: :bouncing:
You must take care, and I wish you, along with all the ladies, a wonderful weekend! I will think of you always!

I was nervous my first appt too. But I was also excited because I was finally taking that first step towards getting answers and getting pg. You have infrequent periods, right? I think I remember that, but I could be confused. Hope not. Anyway, if you do have infrequent periods, another question you could ask your dr is how to regulate your cycles and make sure you are ovulating each month. That could be all you need. :) You won't know until you go to the dr though, so don't be nervous, be excited. :D I'm excited for you! :blob_fire :blob_fire
Hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend so far...
