View Full Version : Slow Metabolism and Drug interactions

I have bad reactions to many drugs especially antibiotics. Also, my metabolism is slow. I was wondering if having a slow metabolism has any effects on how a drug works within my body. Does the slow metabolism prolong how long a drug stays within my body rather than be "quickly" absorbed as the drug is designed to do. Therefore the prolonged presense of the drug adds to the "prescribed dosage" since there is still drugs in my system when the next dosage of a drug is to be taken. Does this make any sense at all?

Thanks
