hey everyone
I got a neck injury a year ago, three months later I got a headache which to this day hasn't gone. It's constant though if I focus the eyes it gets a lot worse. I've had to give up my career as a software developer.
I've seen eye specialists - they say my eyes are fine
I've seen neurologists - they give me pills that don't work and an MRI of my head that turned up nothing
I've seen physiotherapists, a chiropractor, an osteopath, an acupuncturist.
All without improvement to either my neck problem or my headaches.
I am searching for a neck specialist who could help me. I live in Reading, UK and I'm willing travel anywhere in the south.
Can anyone recommend me someone?

Thanks
Jack

What does the MRI indicate?

We all know that the NHS and our doctors like to move us along the system slowly. Do not allow this to happen, push push and push again. You can go anywhere as you know in the country and as you are in Reading I would suggest two very good options to you IF you need them. What are your the alternative therapists coming up with though? Have they suggested you seek further help too? If this is the case then try the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Trust, Brockley Hill Stanmore Middlesex or the Frenchay Hospital, Frenchay Park Rd, Bristol. Go onto Doctor Foster's site. I can't think of the link off my head right now as it is gone midnight but that will give you a list of reputable doctors and you can pick ones who specialise in neck injuries.

Another thought is pain management. I know you've tried medication and I have to say medication is not nice but neither is surgery. There is a great pain management programme in Bath at the hospital there. They even have residential stays from people from pther parts of the country so it must be good.

Do not give up, there is always hope.
