I was just wondering about how long it takes until side effects start to become noticeable when starting birth control pills. Is it right away? Or does it usually take a few days for the hormones to actually "kick in"? Thanks.

You may not have any side effects. It just depends on your body. The only side effect I had when I first began was a tiny bit of nausea. Side effects come and go every month. One month you may be fine the next you might get moody or a headache.
