Hi, I've had a cavity for ages now. It progressed very slowly I think because I clean and floss 2x a day. Anyway, it's pretty bad now meaning there is a small pen tip sized hole in top with a small crack down side and now this year I have noticed some days I have a nasty taste coming out of that tooth and it has to be the cavity. I can taste that taste when I breathe, feel it in my head a little almost the way something like bleach would do to you but not as bad.
The taste makes me feel slightly ill all over but mostly nausea in my stomach and bad taste in mouth. yuck.
Anyway, anyone else get sick tummy from a cavity?
I plan to take care of this probably sooner than later.
This nasty taste coming out of that tooth doesn't alway happen every day. Just once in a while but it really makes me wanna puke. You?

I would get that tooth looked at as soon as you can. Often times that taste means there is an infection and the infection is draining. I have had that happen. The feeling sick is from swallowing that - upsets your stomach, and a bad tooth can make you feel sick. Best to get it looked at. An infected tooth, if it is that, needs to be taken care of as infection can spread throughout your body from a tooth. You will be treated with antibiotics and the cavity will be filled. You also want a cavity fixed so that you don't end up needing a root canal. Decay can go into the root. Hope you feel better.

Been there done that.
What works best is first a Water Pik aimed directly at the area to wash away the recent rot  and then a spray bottle filled with mouthwash squirted right on the tooth and then swish and spit. That should hold you until tomorrow.
The tooth sounds like it is doomed but the sooner you have a dentist look at it the better it's chance of survival with a cap, root canal, etc.
If it MUST go, then have it pulled sooner rather than later. No sense swallowing all that decay bacteria...it really does begin to turn our stomachs, and think of the STRANGERS (and lovers :D)who have to smell it.

well, i tried it all but nothing helped with that nasty stuff except now once again it has passed and not having the bad taste and stuff coming out. It has done this a few times over a long period of time now.
Guess I'm just going to have to give in and get it taken care of..... that taste is horrid!
