Please help. I have suffered from a swollen lymph node beside my genital area on the right side for months now. I am tender in the genital area, but not necessarily on the lymph node. the doc can't figure out why. at first he assumed it was from an infected hair follicle, but antibiotics haven't helped.
a few months ago, he thought i might have some eczema on the right of my genitals (deep inside a fold, not easy to find). I do have eczema on my right hand for sure.
I think I have some "down there" in a hard to see spot still and was wondering if it could be the cause of my mysterious swollen lymph node.
please any advice is much appreciated. and what do you do with eczema in such an area? I am scared about what else this might be, but they've done a bunch of tests and can't figure it out.

yes, eczema can cause swollen lymph nodes. my son is 2 years old and has eczema. he has several lymph nodes on his neck, the doctors asure me that it is from him eczema. they have don't blood tests, and everything is normal. the allergist told me it would be a problem if he didn't have them. lymph nodes filter out our bodies, so it is not nessarily a bad thing.
to treat the eczema, the dr. can give you a cream, or you can use an over the counter steroid cream (but for no longer that 2 weeks). just try to keep it very moisturized.
hope this helped. and good luck to you.
