Yep. I don't know why, though. My pain gets worse during the middle of the night and continues for severa hours.

hi there. i never did figure out why it hurt so much at this time. i think a few suggestions where that the body is at rest so we feel the pain more...
i am feeling a ton better. but I will trying my hardest to prevent from forming a kidney stone again.......

When you sleep you are putting more pressure/weight on the kidney then when you are sitting or standing. Try not to sleep on your back or sides.

I think it might also have something to do with holding your urine in for a long time, too. I am really bad about not getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom when I have a full bladder. Probably one of the reasons for all the UTI's I've had!
