I've had bad breath for around 18 months and smoking made it worse. Over time when I smoked I noticed a yellow substance/matter built up on my tongue and catalysed my bad breath. Anyone know what can be done to remove this? The yellow substance is spread out over my tongue but also on the fur on the back of my tongue, what is this and what can be done?

you don't think it could be a nicotine build up could it??

i notice if i drink coffee there is a yellowish tint to the back area of my tongue. when i swallow that part doesn't touch the roof of my mouth and there is somewhat a slime? ...sounds gross but that is the best way to describe it. my advise to you is, use listerine and gargle twice a day, and brush your tongue or get a tongue scraper/cleaner. do this before you brush. hope this helps!
