Hi, Hope, I'm new to kidney stones, so I don't know a whole lot, but I read somewhere that if it's 4mm or bigger it might be too big to pass. With yours being 7mm I think it's too big to pass on your own. I know this isn't much help, but there are others on this board with much more experience with stones who I'm sure can answer most of your questions. Good luck! And sorry you're going through this!

Hope - .7 cm is equal to 7 mm, so it's still a pretty good sized one. Hope someone else can give you more info, sorry!

.7 cm is 7 mm. Chances are if it is the ureter already it should pass. If you have increased blood, pain,. fever, or water retention see a doc right away it may get stuck.

Once it is out of the kidney it hurts less because it has less wrong to bounce around and cause aggravation. You may find symptoms as it drops lower and get a little more crushed. Keep pumping fluids and citrus and keep us posted.
