I've been on 50mg of Zoloft for 2 weeks.
The last couple days my anxiety has increased a ton! I have to take extra lorazepam.
Is the Zoloft making me feel worse?
I don't want to get addicted to the lorazepam. Been taking it everyday for over a month. 1mg. per day average.

Yes it could be the zoloft or it could be that the dose is not high enough and you are getting the anxiety elsewhere. Check with your dr. He may want to increase it. Godbless:angel:

Brando, how are you doing on the Zoloft? Still anxious? I have been on 50mg for a week and I had extra anxiety for a few days last week, but nothing crazy. Otherwise, i've had a bit of insomnia- waking up at least an hour earlier than my alarm in the morning and having difficulty getting back to sleep- which is a problem I had while depressed, but it went away when the depression left.

I haven't really noticed any positive effects yet. Have you?

i was on Zolfot for a month. had to go off. Took lorazapan everyday with it for a month. 1 mg everyday. It just did not work. He bumped me up and I was a zombie and sick to my stomach. More anxiety than before. Monitor how you feel. It just may not be the drug of choice for you. Alyce

I've taken zoloft twice in the past. Once for a year, second time for 3 days. First time, I think it helped and lessened the anxiety somewhat although certainly it didnt make me feel like my old self again. I stopped cold turkeyafter a year and noticed no ill effects or withdrawl. Second time, the beginning side effects that you mentioned were unbearable and I felt like I was dying so I stopped. Now I just resort to the benzo as needed routine, which lately has been alot. You may want to try the 25mgs and see how that works. I would think after two weeks you should be feeling better and not worse although it can take up to a month to notice a difference. Good Luck
