Sure can. Believe fatigue is pretty common with TMJ.

Yeah it can. I've actually been noticing how much more tired I've been since I dislocated my jaw... all this researching, physiotherapy, being careful, other treatments, going to the docs - it just tires me out.

HI,
I hope this helps...
I have noticed a vicious cycle where I am so nervous about having a headache that I actually am tensing my mouth and neck without realizing , thus potentiating the headache and then here comes the feeling of being "worn out". I am really working on stress relaxation techniques, but my job as a nurse sometimes makes it hard, not to mention being a mother of 2 and part time student! I have bought a mediflow neck pillow that you fill with water and it does seem to help at night since I can't sleep on the right(affected) side. Good sleep is essential for me, maybe it would help you.

I have had TMJ for 18 years but it has flared up to the point I am in constant pain over the past three years. Yes, I am very tired most of the time. I believe chronic pain has that effect on one; it just wears you down. And the stress of dealing with the pain, trying to find a helpful and understanding provider, and taking various medications which all cause drowsiness certainly doesn't help. I am sick and tired of this condition as unlike others--cardiac, GI, neuro, etc.--all of the providers I've seen (from accupuncturists, massage therapists, neurologists and dentists, oral surgeons, and now pain management specialists) don't really seem to understand this condition at all and that, too, makes me tired. I also believe the fatigue comes from restless sleep due to the non-stop pain and dietary changes I've had to make (I can only eat soft foods and exist mainly on cottage cheese and fluids). So there are many, many reasons why one would experience fatigue when one has TMJ and I don't think it's uncommon. It is difficult though. I used to exercise 5x a week and now it's so hard to get motivated to do it although when I do, it does help somewhat---at least with the sleeping.

I've felt fatigued from TMJ. Most of my time while not at work was spent laying in bed with a heat pad from feeling dizzy, spasmy or out of it. At the request of my Physical Therapist I started doing Tai Chi at lunch time. I also do some at night before bed. I can say that it has helped considerably. The before bed tai chi helps relax me so that I can sleep through the night. The at-lunch tai chi keeps my body active in my otherwise sedentary desk job. If you feel up to it, buy a dvd and give it a shot - its not strenuous like running.
