My right eye seems to constantly tear. It's been happening for months. Eveyone thinks I'm crying and it's really starting to bother me. My doctor does not think it is anything to be concerned about. Why is this happening to me?

Thanks for your help.

I have a similiar problem with my right eye, but only after it has been closed (sleeping, or resting). When I awaken my eye is real watery and my cheek is wet. I called the Eye Dr. office and the Nurse said to try lubricating it with "artifcial tears". I said I had been, some,. She said, that the lubricants may have the same ingredients but do not all act the same try a better one than the generic ones I had been using. She said it may be something to do with the tear ducts. I guess it is more bothersome than a threat. I haven't gone to the Opthalmologist as I do not have insurance & the visist costs $90 ! It seems to be doing better I use some allergy meds. sometimes & it seems to get better, also use the lubricants to help flush the tear ducts.
I hope this is of some help to you. Keep us posted.
Lyndal
