I have punctum plugs in my lower ducts, for dry eyes. I think they help a little bit. Does anyone else have these? and what do you think of them? Thanks, Michelle

Thanks, Michelle Sponsor zdavidz 01-28-2002, 11:00 AM I have my lower ones permanently closed and the uppers are plugged. It worked well for a while . My dry eye is getting worse though. I also take Doxycycline 100mg. 2X a day along with Doxy. eye drops. Also warm compress twice a day. I am hoping for new meds. to come through clinical trials soon. Dave ------------------ reeny 01-30-2002, 10:49 PM zdavidz- I took Doxy and it caused my dry eye problem. Be careful. What are doxy-eye drops?? Are you supposed to take them when on doxy? Muro 128 03-21-2002, 11:35 PM Hey Michelle, I had the collegen Punctal plugs put in first to see if I liked them. They worked and I had the "permanant" ones installed in my lower lids so that I could wear contact lenses. They did the job. It took a while to get used to getting stabbed in the eye whenever I looked extreme left or rt, like chacking for traffic to make a lane change. Overall, I am very happy with them. Having them put in was a lot easier that I thought it would be! |
