Okay so of course these are always asked but I don't happen to know the answers.
1. what are the side effects of birth control
2. How long does it take to get full effect.
Mucho gracias.

Side effects that may or may not happen and may or may not go away are:
Weight gain, weight loss (rare), headaches, migraines, mood swings, crying spells, high blood pressure, cholesterol rise (mine has not gone down in 7 months it's at 248 it lowered was higher on Loestrin it was 286), acne, hair loss, loss of sex drive, breast swelling or tenderness.
it takes your body around 3 months to adjust to the hormones in the pill. Some women may need longer. If by 3 months your side effects are unbearable you can ask your doctor to change. Most women do well on bcp but there is a large group that does not and need to change to a different brand.
If you start the pill on the first day of your bleeding from your period than you are protected from pregnancy. If you start the first Sunday after your period started then you need to use a backup for at least 7 days.
Take the pill every day at the same time every day do not miss any pills and you have a 99% of being protected from pregnancy.
